There are sometimes issues on the app store. This has nothing to do with the PhonePlus app or with its developer. It is entirely something managed by the store operator. We can only advise that you try again. Lots of people are purchasing successfully so it IS working for many, but as a developer we are helpless in this. Please also report the issue to your carrier and to RIM. We hope it will work for you soon.
Believe it or not, it is a one-time fee! Now isn't that a great deal?
That’s no problem, you can simply re-download the app for no extra charge. BlackBerry App World (or any other store that you use) is supposed to keep track of the fact that you bought it so they will let you re-download it for free.
Touch the app (don’t press), and then press the Menu key on the phone. You will see a delete option. Press it.
Another way is to use Desktop Manager, and within it on the list of apps, check the box next to this app till it says Dleete then press Finish.
We would like to know why you wish to uninstall. Is the product not what you want or does it not work correctly or is there some other issue? Please let us know through the Contact Us page.
Sounds like an app store problem. The app itself does not
control how it is installed and reinstalled. Maybe try uninstalling it
completely, the downloading it again and installing it.
There are two permissions needed for the smooth functioning of the app:
1.
“Accessing the phone”
·
This can
ONLY BE SET AT INSTALL TIME.
·
When you
install the app, it will ask you “This application is asking for permission to access
the phone” or words to that effect, with two options – Allow and Deny. Be sure
to press Allow. If you press Deny, the app WILL NOT WORK.
2.
Input
Simulation = Allow
·
This can be
set at any time
·
To set this,
Go to Options > Advanced options > Applications > PhonePlus Callback
> Edit Permissions > Click on the word Interactions > Go to Input
Simulation > Choose 'ALLOW' > SAVE (from Menu). Then reboot the phone.
·
You can see
this instruction at any time in the Release Notes section of the About page of
the app
·
When you
install or upgrade the app, we automatically take you to the right place to set
this permission. All you have to do is press the Menu key and choose Save
If you want to know WHY these permissions are needed, please see below.
There are two permissions needed for the smooth functioning of this app:
1.
“Accessing the phone”
·
This is
needed for the app to save your settings on to the phone, and also for the app
to be notified when a phone call is received
·
Without this
permission, the app simply will not work. You will need to reinstall to allow
this permission
2.
Input
Simulation = Allow
·
This
permission is needed to avoid an extra popup when you miss or reject a call.
Our app shows a popup that gives you the options to send a will-call message,
choose the text etc, but prior to that, another BlackBerry popup can come up
saying “You missed 1 call” which can be annoying. If you allow this permission,
our app will suppress the BlackBerry popup so that you will not see multiple popups on 1 missed call
·
This can be
set at any time. See the question above for instructions on how.
There are several modes – Automatic, Manual, Autoreply Missed, Autoreply
Rejected, Autoreply Both - which
you can control from settings. Plus you can combine these with Do Not Disturb.
In Automatic mode, you get only one button to click (it’s
called Will Call Later), and the button decides what to do. If the caller is in
your contacts, and the contact has both a mobile number and an email address,
only a text message will be sent. In Automatic mode, email is only sent if
there is no mobile number. Only one of the two (email or text) are ever sent,
in any mode. If the contact has neither a mobile number nor an
email address, or the caller is not in your contacts, only a reminder is set,
no message is sent.
In Manual mode, you get three buttons: Will Call Later, Text
and Email. The Email button only shows up if there is an email address
available in your contacts to send to. The color of the Text button has a
meaning:
·
Green: it is
a mobile#, SMS can be sent
·
Red: it is a
non-mobile# in your contacts, so SMS cannot be sent
·
Yellow: the
number is not in your contacts and therefore MAY or MAY NOT be mobile. Thus SMS
may be possible to send
To learn about the AutoReply modes, see “How does the new AutoReply feature work?”
To learn about Do Not Disturb, and its effect on these modes, See “How does Do Not Disturb work?”
There are three Autoreply modes available: Autoreply on missed calls only, on rejected calls only, and both. If you miss or reject the call, in Autoreply mode, the app will behave like Automatic mode, i.e. it will send a will-call text or email automatically if the caller’s number is in your contacts. It WILL NOT AUTOREPLY to callers that are not in your contacts. It will also set a callback reminder, so you won’t forget to return the call that you missed or rejected. For the will-call Autoreply message, the app will send the message that you have chosen in the “Autoreply default message” dropdown on the Settings:Text tab. Also, you will receive a notification for each call that gets Autreplied AND the Callback Reminder List now displays whether a call was autoreplied or not, and the Callback Reminder Action page now shows what message was sent and how (text or email) it was sent.
When you check the Do Not Disturb checkbox on the Settings:Basic tab, it will basically suppress ringing on incoming calls. The call will be immediately auto-rejected, which in most cases means the call will go into your voicemail if you have it set up that way. After the call is rejected, the app will basically honor one of the five modes that you have selected, just as if you manually rejected the call. So if you had set Automatic mode, it will popup the Will Call Later box, and if you press it, automatically decide whether to send SMS or email or neither. In Manual mode, it will let you decide. In Autoreply-missed case it will do nothing (because it is treated as a rejected call), and in Autoreply-rejected and Autoreply-both modes, it will send a will-call message if the caller is in your contacts and has a mobile number or email address. The best and easiest way to think of Do Not Disturb, is that it simply rejects the call for you instantly, everything else is determined by other settings.
Absolutely. In addition to customizing the four out-of-the-box messages we give you (Busy, In-meeting, On-call, Driving) you can create up to two custom messages of your own. You can call these whatever you want and supply your own message text as well. In order to take advantage of these, you need to check the “Allow me to manually select which of the below texts to use on each call” checkbox, on the Settings:Text tab.
Not at this time. The BlackBerry platform does not support
this. The Google Android version of our app supports this. This is a limitation
imposed by the BlackBerry Operating System on the phone.
You can customize the default text of all the messages from Settings:Text. In addition, you have the ability to add your own additional new custom messages.
You can pull up the App, go to Settings, and press the toggle bar "PhonePlus Callback: Enabled" (on the Basic Tab) so that it changes to "PhonePlus Callback: Disabled" and then press Save. This should disable the app, until you re-enable it.
Sure, you do have that option if you use the Manual mode.
Just go to Settings and set the mode to Manual. Then when you get a call, you
will see a Will Call Later button and an arrow button. When you click the
arrow, you will see Text and Email buttons. Click Text to send an SMS, or click
Email to send an email. Note that the Email button shows up only if there is an
email address in the contact for that caller.
Tens of thousands of people are using the product successfully on every call, across many phone platforms, so we know it works, but there can always be issues on an individual phone. We understand your frustration. Please help us help you. THE MOST COMMON ISSUE IS THAT THE RIGHT PERMISSIONS MAY NOT BE SET FOR THE APP ON THE DEVICE. Please see “What permissions do I need to set?” below for more details. If you are still facing issues:
·
Uninstall
ALL versions of this product that you may have on your phone
·
Download and
reinstall JUST the latest version from the store
·
IMPORTANT! While reinstalling Allow and
Save all permissions that it asks for
·
Make a few
phone calls into the phone; (note if you have a lot of apps, sometimes it can
take a few calls before our app is properly initialized and warmed up, due to
memory constraints on the phone)
·
Ignore or
miss these calls
·
You should
see our will call bar

We very much want you to be a happy long-term customer.
It will send a callback message (in Automatic mode) if the caller is calling from a mobile number that is in your contacts or if the caller's contact on your phone has an email address. Also if you are in Manual mode, pressing the Will Call button will only set a callback reminder, you have to "manually" press the Text or Email buttons to decide which you want to send. For more on this, please read: "What are the main modes of operations?" above.
Text gets sent based on what your mode and other settings are.
The
app has two modes - Automatic & Manual, which you can control from
settings.
In Automatic mode, you get only one button to click (it’s called Will Call
Later), and the button decides what to do. If the caller’s numner
is in your contacts and the contact has both a mobile# and an email address,
only a text message will be sent. In Automatic mode, email is only sent if
there is no mobile#. Only one of the two (email or text) are ever sent, in any
mode. If the contact has neither a mobile number nor an email address, or the
caller is not in your contacts, only a reminder is set, no message is sent.
In Manual mode, you get three buttons: Will Call Later, Text and Email. The
Email button only shows up if there is an email address available to send to.
The color of the Text button (Green, Red, Yellow) indicates respectively that -
it is a mobile#, or it is a non-mobile# in contacts, or it is a number not in
contacts and therefore MAY be mobile. If you press the text button, an SMS will
be sent to the caller's number.
Note:
Different network carriers support different underlying protocols for sending
SMS. We have tested our app with multiple carriers, but if you, based on the
above description, believe SMS should be getting sent and is not, then try
sending an SMS from you phone manually. If that works, then please let us know.
If you are getting callback reminder popups or alerts, and you don’t want them, you can turn them off. Go to Settings>>Advanced>>Reminder Alerts, and there you can choose:
·
"Do not
bother me with alerts": you will receive no reminder alerts. You will have
to check them yourself From the main
menu>>Callback Reminders.
·
"Notifications
only, no popup": you will receive notifications in the top notification
bar, but there will be no popup alerts
·
"Notifications
AND popups": you will receive popup alerts as
well as notification alerts.
If you tell us what the issue is, we'll be glad to help. Several thousands of people are using it all day long, so we know the product works. But it is always possible that there is an issue in an individual case. MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE MULTIPLE VERSIONS installed at the same time. Uninstall all versions and reinstall JUST the latest version.

This is just
one basic feature. You can also send emails, you can
choose what reason to send and much more.
If this basic test does not work, contact us. Again please give us as many specifics as possible so we can help.
Agreed. Unfortunately the
BlackBerry Operating System does not let us do that. It treats the phone app as
a high priority app, and does not let our app send an endcall
message to the phone app. We've tried :-)
You have to Ignore or Miss the call first. Then our
Will-Call popup will show up from where you can send the Will-Call message.
Please do the following test:
·
Go to settings, and press reset to defaults
·
Ask a friend or relative who has a cell number to call your phone
·
Make sure first that their number is in your contacts as A MOBILE
NUMBER
·
When the call comes in, press Ignore
·
Now our app’s Will Call popup should show up
·
Press Will Call Later
·
You should see a message that says “sending text…” and another
that says “Sent”
·
Your friend’s phone should receive a text message
·
For email, test with your
home number
·
Make sure it is in contacts
as a home number and not as a mobile number
·
Put in your email address
into your Home contact
· Call from your home number and press Will Call
·
You should receive an email
Please let us know how this goes.
Thanks. Please, if you haven’t already done so, if you could take a moment to post a positive review and high rating for the app on the store where you bought it, that would be much appreciated.
Still have a question? Please ask.
